Ultimate 2 – OMNIE Underfloor Heating, Heat Pumps & Ventilation

Low build-up underfloor heating panel designed specifically for tiling over.

Ultimate 2 is the new low build-up screed system from OMNIE that, due to the insulation and unique diffusers, has a higher heat output and faster warm up than typical low build-up castellated screed systems, as well as minimising thermal striping. The high compressive strength insulation provides an excellent substrate for the 10mm thin levelling screed, giving an overall system height of just 28mm – including insulation.

The 18mm panel uniquely comes pre-primed for the RS-Flex levelling screed and has a peel-off self-adhesive layer on the underside so it can be bonded directly with the subfloor. Just stick the panel down and pour the levelling screed over making it up to 50% faster to install than alternative thin screed systems, and reduces the system cost up to 35%.

Heat outputs

As a guide the heat outputs below are based on 12mm PE-RT pipe at 150mm centres with leveling compound laid over. Room Temperature = 20°C.

Heat outputs are dependent on the water temperature, floor construction, system dimension, floor finish & design conditions. Contact us for advice and information.

Existing Slab

Existing slab to meet at least SR2 (5mm deviation in 2m) requirements for floor regularity (BS8204) and preferably SR1 (3mm deviation in 2m)

Timber substrate

Timber substrate minimum 22mm tongue and grooved exterior grade plywood or 22mm tongue and grooved green chipboard screwed into the joists at no more than 400mm centres

All floors must be deflection free before laying the Ultimate2 panel (see installation guide for OMNIE Ultimate2 for full details)

Advice should always be sought from the flooring supplier/manufacturer as to the best adhesive for use with their product directly onto the levelling compound.
