LowBoard 2® – Cover Panel – HYBRID Material Datasheet
OMNIE LowBoard 2® underfloor heating system offers the optional HYBRID material for the upper Cover Panel. The HYBRID material is a three-layer cement-bonded particleboard according to EN 634-1 and -2 for internal construction applications. It mainly consists of the natural raw material wood particles and cement.
The panel is manufactured in a thickness of 8mm with a shallow routed to correlate with the pipe channel pattern of LowBoard 2® Lower Panel. The HYBRID Cover Panel is supplied pre-foiled with a AL HEX® heat diffuser aluminium layer.
The Cover Panel features a printed warning notice to indicate the location of the pipe and screw fixings.
|Product processing / installation
Refer to installation instructions for LowBoard 2® system construction procedure. We recommend pilot holes are drilled when fixing the HYBRID Cover Panel to the Lower Panel.
The processing of the HYBRID panel can include the following processes: sawing, drilling, grinding. Under certain conditions HYBRID panel can be milled.
|Health & Safety
When processing, all applicable health and safety measures must be observed in accordance with OMNIE’s installation instructions for LowBoard 2®.
It should be noted that dust produced during processing can react alkaline (pH value: approx. 12) . The machine tools and equipment used at the workplace should be such that the relevant dust limits are observed. Dust emissions will not occur unless the boards are machined with abrasive tools. In case of contact (skin, eyes, mouth contact), it should be noted that hardened cement paste reacts slightly alkaline in combination of moisture.
LowBoard 2® HYBRID Cover Panel is chemically inert. When the product is used as designed, there are no hazards to water, air or soil.
The ingredients of the construction product are firmly bound in the state of use. Dust emissions will not occur unless the boards are machined with abrasive tools. In case of contact (skin, eye, mouth contact), it should be noted that hardened cement paste reacts slightly alkaline with moisture.
NOTE: If it is necessary to store the system once you have taken delivery, ensure panels are kept in the following conditions:
